About

Associate Prof. Dr. Gerd Silberhumer received his doctorate from the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna in 2001 and then began his training as a specialist in surgery. After completing residency, he conducted research on the treatment of tumors with oncolytic viruses at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, funded by a Max Kade Fellowship. The research stay was then continued with a clinical fellowship for Surgical Oncology/Colorectal Surgery at MSKCC and Weill Cornell University.Dr. Silberhumer is pleased to be able to accompany those who are interested on their way to a fulfilling and successful experience medicine for some time and to share his experiences.
