Professor Yakov Shechter is a world-class specialist in the treatment of all types of skin cancer, particularly renowned for his success in treating melanoma. The professor implements cutting-edge treatment methods in his practice, including Mohs surgery for precise tumor removal, TIL cell therapy, and the latest pharmaceuticals. Professor Schechter  himself is involved in international research to develop the latest means of fighting skin cancer, such as new immunotherapy drugs, new methods combining drug therapy and radiation therapy. Most of these developments have already been put into practice and allow the professor to achieve excellent results. Professor Shechter is one of the most renowned professors in the Oncology Department of Tel Aviv University and is a renowned researcher, having published more than 100 scientific articles and book chapters. His scientific achievements have been praised many times by various organizations: in 2006, he was awarded the Israel Cancer Research Foundation (ICRF) and the Israel Cancer Association for his research on the treatment of melanoma with immunotherapy.
