Professor Chaim Matskin is a well-known urologist and oncologist with over 35 years of experience, recognized for his expertise in treating prostate, kidney, testicular, and bladder cancers using modern methods such as radiation therapy, hormonal therapy, cryotherapy, and brachytherapy. Professor Matskin implements highly effective minimally invasive techniques in urological surgery, aiming to preserve affected organs maximally without causing side effects such as urinary or erectile dysfunction. The professor successfully applies cutting-edge developments in prostate cancer treatment, including the Israeli-developed photodynamic therapy method called Tookad. In the past, he has served as secretary and accountant of the Israel Urology Association, and as secretary of the advisory subcommittee of the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Health on the treatment of benign prostate tumors. Professor Matskin is also a prominent researcher in the field of urology, credited with over 164 scientific publications in prestigious international medical journals. He teaches at the Department of Urology at Tel Aviv University.
