Univ.-Doz. Dr. Gerhard Prager

Univ.-Doz. Dr. Gerhard Prager specializes in bariatric surgery and performed over 3000 bariatric operations. Since 2004 he has been headed the bariatric outpatient clinic at the Department of Surgery at Vienna University Hospital. He performs the full range of bariatric surgical procedures, ranging from intragastric balloons, laparoscopic-adjustable gastric banding and sleeve gastrectomies to Roux-en-Y gastric bypasses, Omega Loop gastric bypasses (anastomotic bypass) and biliopancreatic diversions with and without a duodenal switch. Dr. Prager always takes his time to analyze the problems of his patients in detail and to develop together an individual treatment plan, because the patient satisfaction is his priority.
