Dr. Ofir Hendzel is a leading Israeli specialist in head, neck, and skull base surgery, and an internationally recognized expert in cochlear implantation. He employs cutting-edge techniques such as bone conduction hearing aids like the Baha implant. Dr. Hendzel performs advanced surgical procedures including tympanoplasty and closure of tympanic membrane perforations, stapedectomy and stapedoplasty for otosclerosis, mastoidectomy for inflammation removal, surgeries on the lateral skull base to remove tumors affecting auditory centers (including benign conditions like vestibular schwannoma), eustachian tube corrections, insertion of ear ventilation tubes, and many others. Throughout his extensive medical career, Dr. Hendzel has successfully treated thousands of children and adults for acute and chronic ear inflammations, dizziness, cholesteatoma, and other ENT pathologies. He underwent extensive training at leading ENT surgery centers in the United States. Dr. Hendzel is also a renowned researcher and author of numerous scientific papers in otolaryngology, focusing particularly on various causes of hearing loss, including the effects of radiation and chemotherapy, as well as the impact of cochlear implants on the vestibular system.
