Andreas Böck is a board-certified pediatrician with a habilitation and serves as a senior physician at the Clinical Department of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergology, and Endocrinology at the University Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna in AKH Vienna. His scientific focus is on the study of immunodeficiencies in children. He has extensive international experience, including a two-year fellowship in pediatric immunology at Duke University (USA), followed by an additional year of research on thymus transplantation in congenital and cellular immunodeficiencies.
