Obstetrics is a branch of gynecology that deals with the monitoring of pregnancies as well as the treatment of mother and child before, during and after birth. In addition to the classic prenatal care and care during and after birth, the physicians of gynecology and obstetrics also deal with certain diseases in connection with pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period - for example, incontinence during pregnancy or problems with breastfeeding the newborn.
