Professor Hanoch Kashtan is one of Israel's most experienced surgeons, founder of the Esophageal Surgery Unit at Ichilov Medical Center, and Israel's leading specialist in the surgical treatment of gastric and pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer and a number of other tumors. The professor is proficient in the most advanced endoscopic surgery techniques and the latest technologies that allow to remove the tumor as efficiently as possible and cause minimal damage to the patient's body, preserving the affected organ if possible. In case the organ cannot be saved, the professor brilliantly performs open and minimally invasive surgeries to remove the stomach, esophagus, gallbladder, spleen, intestines, and lymph nodes. In addition to oncosurgery, the professor specializes in a wide range of surgical interventions unrelated to oncology, such as minimally invasive laparoscopic repositioning of all types of hernias. The physician with a vast clinical experience of more than 35 years has participated in international studies in the USA and Canada, trained in esophageal surgery in one of the most famous hospitals in France - Hospital de Rangueil in Toulouse. Prof. Kashtan has successfully operated on tens of thousands of patients.
