Professor Uri Kramer specializes in the treatment of epilepsy in children. He has been working in this field since 1980, providing assistance to thousands of young patients who have returned to a normal life thanks to him. Professor Kramer also handles complex cases where patients do not respond to conventional medications. He is one of the founders of a company that developed a unique bracelet designed to alert about epilepsy seizures. This bracelet, equipped with a device that detects impending seizures and a transmitter, is convenient for monitoring the child's condition during sleep: it sends a signal to a receiver installed in the parents' bedroom. The EpiLert device takes the form of a bracelet equipped with sensors that read information about muscle microcontractions. It sends a special signal to alert parents of the impending seizure, thus helping to prevent the child from potential injuries during a seizure. EpiLert also reads information about brain activity, which helps the treating doctor choose the most optimal therapy. In addition to epilepsy, Professor Kramer specializes in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), headaches, and various neurological disorders in children under the age of 13. Professor Kramer is a renowned researcher who has published over 150 scientific papers that have made a significant contribution to the development of Israeli and global pediatric neurology.
