A pulmonologist deals with pathologies of the bronchi, lungs, and larynx — conducts diagnostics, prevention and treatment of diseases associated with them. The scope of pulmonology includes somatic diseases — for example, bronchial asthma, hereditary diseases and diseases associated with activities in hazardous industries. In the department of pulmonology, inhalation therapy, diagnostic and therapeutic pleural punctures, examination of the function of external respiration, physiotherapy procedures and other manipulations are carried out.
